MEET DANIEL
Founder & President, Stylecraft Homes
Daniel Barbu immigrated to the United States from Romania in 1985. It was in Florida that he learned English, attended Florida International University to study Industrial Engineering, and met his wife of over thirty years, Martha. Together, they share four children; 3 girls and a boy. After several years of working for various multinational corporations, he started Stylecraft Homes.
Stylecraft Homes began with a passion: Daniel merged his curiosity for new techniques and processes in construction with a desire to cultivate the highest level of craftsmanship. Daniel draws inspiration from both the old-world architecture he saw as a child in Europe and today’s architecture seen throughout the United States.
MEET CHLOE
Project Manager & Head of Design, Stylecraft Homes
Chloe Barbu graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in May of 2023 with a degree in Business Administration from the Kenan-Flagler Business School, and a minor in Entrepreneurship. From experiences of her family building and designing personal homes, to business conversations around the dinner table, Chloe’s passions for construction and design began to develop from an early age. These passions led her to dive into the family business early. During her time at UNC, Chloe became actively involved in the family business, commuting back and forth often. Chloe has been featured on The Design Network’s, Going Pro.
Chloe is passionate about life; She is committed to expressing gratitude and finding beauty in even mundane things. Refusing stagnation, she is ambitious in her work and relentless in her pursuit of improvement with diligence. Chloe is authentic in communication and building relationships, and avid in making others feel seen, heard, and valued. Chloe shares that she often finds herself overcome by the endless possibilities to create beautiful things, but she embraces vulnerability and welcomes the way it fuels her.
